Niche Marketing you say?

From the blog Mediation Marketing Tips

I get really thrilled when people I know prepare a plan and then take the plunge into the mediation and arbitration ADR world.

I am happy to announce, along with my other mediation bloggers, a great example of a couple of excellent niche practices that have just launched.

Richard Webb has just launched the HealthCare Neutral ADR blog.

Rich and I are both in New Jersey but we met in beautiful Malibu, California at an advanced mediation summer course at the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution.

Rich has taken his twenty five years of legal expertise in the health care industry and will now be applying them to mediation, arbitration and other ADR practice!

A great example of building off your natural market into an area that is underserved in New Jersey and the tri-state area.

CONGRATULATIONS RICH! We wish you much success.

I also recently got news from another friend who has just formed his own practice, Michael Cover ADR Limited who will be leading a newly established Intellectual Property and Technology Panel for the established UK mediation firm In Place of Strife.

I have encouraged Michael to join Vicki Pynchon in the IP ADR blogging space but from a European angle. So don’t be surprised if in the near future, we are announcing another new blog.

CONGRATULATIONS MICHAEL and to the folks at In Place of Strife! We wish you much continued success.

Blogging is, after all, a great way to showcase your mediation/ADR expertise by writing articles and providing valuable information to your target market. Not to mention, if you have a well defined niche like Rich and Michael do, you can become a well-known category expert. And that my friends, will bring you business.

Remember, your niche doesn’t have to be limited to legal areas of specialty but if you’re a lawyer, it’s not a bad idea. If you are not a lawyer, think outside the box, there are many ways to narrow your marketing focus and to specialize.

Find the gap in your marketplace, with a group that can pay for your services and fill it. See prior article on niche marketing here.
