William G. Meyer was a general jurisdiction judge from 1984 to 2000 in Denver, CO. In 2000, Judge Meyer joined Judicial Arbiter Group, a mediation/arbitration firm comprised of 26 former judges and becoming majority owner 2010. For the last two years, JAG has been recognized as a Tier 1, Best Law Firm in America by US News and World Report in the field of Mediation. In addition, Bill serves as the Senior Judicial Fellow for the National Drug Court Institute. He is an instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and National Drug Court Institute,and National Judicial College and has published and presented on evidence, alternative dispute resolution, and intermediate sanctions. In 2012 and 2014, Judge Meyer was chosen by Colorado lawyers as best mediator in “Law Week’s” Barrister’s Best poll. For the last three years, Bill has been recognized as a Best Lawyer in America in the field of Mediation, by US News and World Report. He authored “Drug Courts Work” which appeared in the Federal Sentencing Reporter (Summer 2002). His book “Colorado Rules of Evidence with Objections” was published in 2007 and is now in the fourth edition. He was a contributing author and co-editor of “The Drug Court Judicial Benchbook” (2011). Bill has mediated over 2000 cases in virtually every field and arbitrated dozens more in fields as diverse as medical negligence, personal injury, construction defect, covenants not to compete, parental responsibilities and stock valuation. Bill is willing to travel to any venue to assist is dispute resolution.
