Description of Practice

Currently focusing exclusively on mediating any and all types of civil conflicts and disputes, I have mediated all types of cases, including but not limited to, Personal Injury, Labor & Employment, Consumer, Business & Commercial litigation, Family and Divorce cases and various types of non-litigation community disputes.

Professional Background

I have over 500 jury and non-jury trials as lead counsel during my 45 years’ experience as a trial lawyer representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants in the following areas of law: Personal Injury, Labor & Employment, Consumer, Criminal, Business & Commercial litigation, and Family and Divorce.

As a Civil Trial Lawyer, I have handled, prepared and tried a myriad of cases for both Plaintiffs and Defendants. I have had jury trials in such diverse cases as automobile/trucking accidents, premises liability, products liability, medical malpractice, survivor and wrongful death cases, workers’ compensation claims deceptive trade practice claims, contract disputes, family law and divorces.

In the area of employment law and wrongful termination, I have been lead counsel in lawsuits alleging discrimination and/or wrongful termination based on race, national origin, sex, age, disability, and sexual harassment under the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended in 1991; the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act; the Americans with Disabilities Act; the Age Discrimination in Employment Act; and retaliatory discharge claims, including claims under Section 451 of the Texas Workers’ Compensation Act. I have also been involved in defending and/or representing employers and governmental entities in claims and/or lawsuits under the Texas Tort Claims Act; Texas Workers’ Compensation Act claims and subrogation; requests for reasonable accommodation of a disability; sexual harassment; and covenants not to compete.
