Description of Practice

I am a family law attorney with 20 years' experience and at my firm, Sheridan Law, I help families get through difficult and uncertain times.

I handle divorce cases and also have a strong focus on all of the issues that affect children when parents separate, including child support and special education needs.

I approach things differently from many family lawyers because I proactively encourage the mediation of disputes. My goal is to help you avoid the trauma of entering a courtroom. At trial, differences are often settled acrimoniously. In addition, with judge-imposed decisions, your control over the outcome is sometimes lost.

I help you devise long-term solutions — solutions you have ownership of and which enable you to face the future with confidence.

At Sheridan Law, you will find a sympathetic Medway family law attorney, here to help you through the emotional time that follows a relationship breakdown. My commitment to mediation and collaborative law is demonstrated by my membership in the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council and the Council on Family Mediation. I participate in the Volunteer Lawyer for the Day program and am a member of the Asperger's Association of New England (AANE).
