Jeffrey R. Windsor provides effective, reasonable, results-driven mediation and civil litigation services. He will listen to your objectives, the nature of your dispute, and help you navigate the clearest path through it. He has over 17 years of experience in the trenches of litigation and understands that it is often a war of attrition. He assists the parties in evaluating their respective positions and in cost-effectively achieving results.
Jeffrey R. Windsor, Esq., is a mediator and attorney, practicing in Hawaii and California. Beginning his civil litigation practice in insurance defense, Jeff has defended large corporations, governmental entities, small businesses, architects, contractors, brokers, and individuals in construction defect, personal injury, non-disclosure, contract, fraud, and employment actions. Jeff has also represented plaintiffs in personal injury, construction defect, contract, bad faith, and employment actions. Admitted to practice in the state courts of Hawaii and California, and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California and the District of Hawaii, Jeff has tried cases to jury and bench verdicts and consistently obtained favorable results.
Jeff trained at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law, the University of California Hastings College of the Law, and with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. He is an alternative dispute resolution panelist, facilitator, and pro tem with the State Bar of California, Dispute Prevention and Resolution of Hawaii, and with Northern California’s superior courts, Bar Associations, and resolution centers. He has mediated, litigated, managed, tried, arbitrated and settled hundreds of cases ranging from multi-party, complex actions to disputes before an action has been filed.

Through his experience as a mediator and attorney, Jeff understands that civil litigation is often engaged for reasons beyond the underlying dispute. He assists the parties in analyzing their respective positions, and provides them with his evaluation of those positions to help the parties better analyze risk. Jeff also has strong communication skills that facilitate discussion of the underlying issues of a dispute, thereby assisting towards resolution and cost-effectively achieving results.
Jeff mediates cases in California and Hawaii, and in all areas of his commercial and civil litigation practice, including corporate and business disputes, insurance, construction, real estate, professional negligence, personal injury, and employment litigation, and he conducts elder care mediations and facilitated family meetings.
