Description of Practice
Mediation online and mediation in-person follow different paths to reach the same goals: restoring peace in the family through confidential, collaborative agreements. Divorce mediation offers a way forward with dignity, to an agreement that meets your needs for parenting plans, child and/or spousal support, division of assets and debts, or modification of existing orders. Family mediation can address a wide range of potential issues resulting from major life transitions: pre-marital and post-marital agreements, business difficulties within family-owned businesses, elder care issues, and more. Online mediation offers convenience (no commute required), more flexible hours, and lower fees. In-person mediation may be available again soon.
I am mediating online now, and hope to mediate in person again soon. Since 2006, I have mediated hundreds of family and divorce cases in California. I have been a Navy JAG attorney, a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, and a family lawyer in Jackson County, OR.
I have attended 500+ hours of training with some of the best trainers in the business. I have mediated 250+ family cases, including divorces, pre-marital agreements, and elder/family issues. I have taught conflict resolution in L.A. County public schools.

My approach to mediation is respectful and pragmatic, helping clients to find common ground from which they can build their agreements. My style is "pragmatic" and "facilitative". Flexibility and curiosity are traits that help my clients meet their mediation goals.
Online mediation is $220/hr. The usual fee range for comprehensive divorce mediation is $2,860 to $3,630 (no minor kids) or $3,300 to $3,960 (with kids). For limited scope divorce mediation, premarital conversations, or other family topics, please inquire.
Online appointments are available most days, most evenings until 8:00 pm, and most Saturdays. In-person mediations will be available again when the pandemic slinks away. I offer an online Zoom consultation of 20 - 30 minutes. It's free when both parties participate.
