Description of Practice

Dr. Diana Pino is an experienced, credentialed mediator and licensed professional counselor. She currently serves as president of the board of directors for the Association for Conflict Resolution - Houston Chapter and is a member of the peer mediation committee. Dr. Pino is also on the board of directors for the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County. Dr. Pino has experience mediating cases involving employment, small business, civil, family, divorce, parenting, and elder care disputes, to name a few. She also provides ombudsman, conflict coaching, consulting, and training services.

Professional Background

Dr. Diana Pino is the President & CEO of Capstone HigherEd Services. She is a professional coach, mediator, and ombudsman and has a vast amount of experience resolving conflicts and improving communication. Mediation training includes basic, advanced (Family, Divorce, Child Custody) and elder & adult mediation. She is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. Prior to her role at Capstone, Dr. Pino served in executive leadership roles as dean of students at Lone Star College and vice chancellor of student services at Houston Community College. She has managed a team of over 100 full-time employees and a $7 million budget. She has also taught psychology and Mexican American studies at the collegiate level. Dr. Pino is very involved in the community and volunteers as a mediator with the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County and an ombudsman for the Texas Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. She has also served as a volunteer mediator with the Better Business Bureau and a judge for the University of Houston Law Center's Annual National Mediator Competition. In addition, she serves as the chair of the education committee for the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the American Leadership Forum – Houston Chapter.
