Description of Practice

Over 15 years of conflict resolution experience for Federal Agencies. Services I provide include: mediation, facilitation, conflict coaching, performance consultation, and ADR mentoring. Training and learning services include: ADR Awareness, EEO Law, Implicit Bias and Mediator Skills (basic and advanced) Certified Instructor/Trainer, Virtual Trainer, Performance Consultant and Efucation Program Manager.

Professional Background

Certified Federal Government Neutral (Mediator, Facilitator, Conflict Coach, ADR Mentor) since 2005. 37 years of service with the Department of Veterans Affairs. National Representative for a major Federal Labor Union 2003 - 2012, with extensive labor law and negotiation experience.

Experience

15+ years as a conflict resolution specialist with all aspects of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Estimate over 1500 ADR sessions completed since 2005. ADR services provided at all levels of the Federal Government to include Senior Executive level conflicts. Extensive background in education and training on ADR topics. Personal passion and focus on conflict prevention, ADR awareness for Managers and Supervisors and Implicit Bias.

Approach

My dispute resolution approach combines aspects of evaluative, transformative and facilitative. The focus is on building and/or restoring relationships while ensuring realistic outcomes. It is important to allow the Parties to share perspectives on the conflict(s) and assist with moving past positions to work on closure through settlement.

Fees

Fees are dependent on the work provided. ADR Services: Sliding scale tailored to each client. ($50 - $150 per hour) Performance Consultation: $800.00 initial assessment (up to 8 hours) and $150.00 per hour for all follow-up services Conflict Coaching: $800.00 initial assessment (up to 8 hours) and $200.00 per session (up to 90 minutes each session) OR $2500.00 for a package to include assessment and 10 90-minute sessions.

Other Information

I love what I do! There is no better reward beyond meeting with people in conflict, feeling the negativity and tension and watching the Parties leave the conflict behind. When resolutions are created and I see the positive changes in behaviors and "environment" it is amazing! I leave many ADR sessions exhausted; I give my all to assist the Parties with closure.
