Description of Practice
My mediation practice of over 30 years includes family mediation, separation and divorce mediation, child protection mediation, workplace and employment mediation, and personal injury mediation.
I also serve as a family professional and coach in collaborative law.
I have extensive experience in doing custody evaluations as well, in both private and public service. I teach conflict resolution and mediation both in Canada and internationally.
Professional Background
I have worked as a professional mediator for over 30 years, both in private and public service. I designed, established and run a family mediation service for the Yukon Government (in the third year) and worked for 10 years as a mediator, trainer and custody evaluator for the Manitoba government, designated by the Attorney General and the Minister of Justice. I have worked for 5 years as a personal injury mediator for the Automobile Insurance Mediation Program in Manitoba and have received certification in Child Protection , Third party Mediation and Negotiation, Life Skills Coaching. I have been a long term board member and president of Family Mediation Manitoba, mediation Yukon, Family Mediation Canada (executive board member), and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Manitoba, Canada.

I have been providing mediation, counselling and training in dispute resolution for over 30 years in Canada and abroad.

Approach
I respect the conflict of the parties and my approach is to help them understand their conflict and create alternatives for resolving it. I have been trained in the traditional Harvard model but have added on elements of Narrative Mediation, Transformational mediation, Insight mediation and strategies from my counselling training and Life Skills training.
I have extensive experience in mediating by phone and on-line platforms as I have served clients from throughout Northern Canada and internationally.
Fees
I charge 180-250 per hour.
