Description of Practice

A member of the Neuroleadership Institute, Lucia has specific training in behavioral science, and applies this blend of science and law to the art of mediation. She understands how real people act in real conflict situations and decision-making. Specializing in Dispute Resolution since 1993, Lucia is a Certified Online Mediator. Practicing law since 1998, She offers Mediation, Negotiation coaching, Witness Preparation, Training, and Facilitation. She has practiced in the private sector, public sector, non-profit, and has taught and trained in both academic and corporate contexts in the U.S. and abroad. Her breadth and depth means she offers insights and skills that serve individualized needs. She does not apply a generic approach to clients and disputes. She has particularized training and keen ability to listen to the circumstances and interests of each situation, and to tailor her approach accordingly.

What separates Lucia from others is her techniques in the psychological dynamics of negotiation and dispute resolution, including her training in emotional micro-expression and lie detection, and integration of neuroscience and decision analysis into every dispute or negotiation.

She has over 350 hours of mediation and negotiation training, in addition to 10 years of law school teaching, and has mediated hundreds of cases.

You can always fight later! By bringing your dispute to mediation, you don't give up your option of fighting later on. 75% of cases in mediation reach agreement, and you can do it online from anywhere in the world.
