Description of Practice

Sharon is a Credentialed Distinguished Mediator by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association with over ten years' experience mediating cases. Sharon has maintained a dedicated mediation practice since 2016. She enjoys working with parties, whether they are represented by attorneys or not, to reach agreements to resolve their case. Creative compromise to try to address everyone's interests and goals is paramount.

Sharon has helped settle hundreds of family law cases, including complex divorce and child custody matters, and civil cases, such as debt claims, probate, and landlord-tenant issues.

Professional Background

Prior to starting her dedicated mediation practice in 2016, Sharon practiced collaborative law and also litigated complex family law, probate, and guardianship cases.

Sharon recognizes the value of taking a non-adversarial approach to family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and child support, to help parties maintain long-term relationships and keep children’s best interests at heart.

Sharon helps parties settle their disputes in a dignified manner, without involving a judge who could impose decisions on them that do not meet their needs. Recognizing the value of allowing parties to craft their own settlements to meet their specific needs, Sharon’s approach generally results in unique settlements that truly address the interests and concerns of all parties.

In addition to her litigation background, Sharon has also served as an adjunct faculty member at El Centro College and the University of North Texas teaching mediation in their respective conflict resolution programs.

Sharon was selected as one of the "Best Attorneys in Dallas" in the field of alternative dispute resolution in 2018, 2019, and 2020 by D Magazine. She has also been selected as a Texas Rising Star (2012 and 2013) and a Texas Super Lawyer (annually since 2014) by Super Lawyers Magazine, a Thomson Reuters Publication.
