Description of Practice

When spouses contemplating divorce are willing and able to sit down and rationally discuss important issues, mediation can be a powerful tool to avoid the time, expense and acrimony that are sometimes inevitable in divorce litigation. With mediation, the settlement is tailored to your individual case. You determine how decisions are made and the outcome, not a judge. Mediation can resolve your situation with an agreement that takes care of your individual situation and needs. In addition, anything said or written in mediation is confidential, the only information that becomes public is the agreement that is reached.

Professional Background

Certified Mediator Attorney at Law

Mediating since 2014.

California Licensed Attorney; Certified Mediator; Certified Paralegal; Associates degrees in Liberal Arts; Bachelors degree Social Science; Juris Doctrine

I practice facilitative mediation. This means the mediator structures the process to help assist the parties in reaching a mutually agreeable resolution. The mediator is in charge of the process, while the parties are in charge of the outcome. I take the mediation process very seriously. Agreeing to mediate is an opportunity for the parties to address their conflict and find a solution that works best for them. When both sides are satisfied with the outcome, the agreement is more likely to work. In a trial there is limited time for you to be heard. The judge focuses on the evidence and the law. Mediation works because it allows each party the time they need to discuss and resolve ALL issues so they can finally move on. In addition Mediation is conducted in private, there is no audience like in a courtroom. During mediation we focus on the future and avoid past problems. We center in on whats important to both parties so that we can better create an agreement addressing all concerns. Everything said in the mediation is private and made confidential. By choosing mediation over litigation you are not only cutting your court costs and attorney fees but your resolving your conflict faster.
