Description of Practice

This Mediator is Certified
I am a mediator, collaborative family law attorney and parenting coordinator dedicated to assisting individuals and families facing challenging life transitions to resolve matters in an amicable and cost-efficient manner. My dual degree (and 38 years of combined experience) in clinical social work and family law enables me to bring unique perspectives and skills to my practice.

The cost of divorce can be draining on a number of levels - ranging from the emotional, to the relational, to the financial; my goal is to help ensure that clients opt for the process most tailored to their needs and that I make that process as supportive and streamlined as possible. Even seemingly hopeless high-conflict matters can be resolved successfully through alternative dispute resolution.

I have a specialized interest in assisting clients with Mediation to Stay Married, Prenuptial & Postnuptial Agreements, Parenting Coordination and Collaborative family law solutions. Clients find that my ability to "think outside the box" - coupled with my advanced training in child development and co-parenting - are value-added components.

Although there are some cases that simply need their day in court, I fervently believe that all efforts should be exhausted before opting for litigation. When I first meet with a client, I bring to bear my decades of experience and judgment to tailor the process to that client's needs and goals. I ask clients to consider how they would like their relationship with the other party to look 3 years down the road; in that way, I not only attend to the client's short-term needs but to their long-range objectives as well.

My hourly rate is $400 per hour. Fees for Parenting Coordination services are $325 per hour.
