Description of Practice

My family mediation practice is focused on helping separating and divorcing couples create cooperative and enduring long term parenting plans as well as common sense property and financial agreements which preserve the well-being of all family members. Mine is a client centered approach: your life, your decisions. I also practice in the areas of business mediation, elder care mediation, and estate mediation.

Professional Background

Robin Dite is certified as a Family Mediator by the New Hampshire Family Mediators Certification Board. Ms. Dite has been working in private practice in New Hampshire since 2012. Ms. Dite is also a state contracted mediator for the Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Service (CADRES) for the state of Maine. She is a board member of the New Hampshire Association for Conflict Resolution and a member of the National Association for Conflict Resolution. Robin has worked in the non-profit sector helping the mentally ill. She has a B.A. in English and a Masters in Teaching English from the University of New Hampshire. She has a background in business. She is also an owner and manager of rental properties.

Experience

Robin Dite has completed 40 hours of divorce mediation training and 20 hours as an intern working with certified mediators, as well as domestic violence and parent/child mediation training. Ms. Dite has been working in private practice at offices in Portsmouth, NH and Newington NH since 2012. She has mediated disputes involving business concerns, family issues, inheritance issues, divorce and separation, parenting concerns and elder care. Additionally, Ms. Dite is a volunteer mediator for the Opportunity Alliance in Portland Maine and has been a state contracted mediator for the Maine Family Courts (CADRES) since February of 2015.

Degrees

B.A. in English from the University of New Hampshire. Master of Arts in Teaching English from the University of New Hampshire.

Approach

My approach to mediation is to create an environment where all parties have a chance to be heard and where creativity and collaboration is encouraged. I will help you find a solution you can live with today and into the future.

Fees

My fee is $ 300 for the first two hour mediation session and $ 150/hour for each subsequent session, if needed. I do not charge to draft any agreement that we reach during mediation. I offer a sliding scale for those in need.

Ms. Dite has worked in a variety of environments--as a small business owner, as a landlord and property manager, as a social worker, and as a performer. Ms. Dite's eclectic background gives her a unique perspective that draws primarily from real life experience.
