Description of Practice

I will help you resolve your matter in a safe, respectful and most importantly non-adversarial manner so that you can agree upon terms in mediation that work for each of you. The goal in mediation is to make a mutual agreement so that one of you does not have a win while the other suffers a loss. To do this, I use the practical experience I gained in practicing family law since 1985 with the skills I learned in mediation training to help clients communicate in a way that they can reach settlement on the issues which need to be addressed in a separation agreement. I also practice real estate and trust and estates law, and I find this to be helpful to clients since these issues tend to arise in separation matters as well. I have been trained in mediation with lesbian-gay-bi-sexual and transgender couples, as well as in elder care mediation.

Professional Background
