Approach

"I prepare thoroughly, trying to master both the applicable law and facts, before ever meeting the participants. I invite mediation or arbitration briefs. With regard to mediation, I believe it is an art, rather than a science, and alter my approach and methods to the situation. Often, money is not the issue, and it is important to recognize that the collateral issues may be as significant as the monetary ones. I often tell participants that they have to be in an "attitude of settlement", and I push them hard to resolve their conflict."

Fees

Current billing rates are $325 an hour, with a $1,000 retainer minimum.

Other Information

Mediations are typically at my office. However, I can travel if requested.
