Description of Practice
****For the first time in 40 years, I'm taking the summer off! You can contact me after mid-August to schedule mediations after Labor Day. **** After 24 years as a family law attorney, I have worked as a mediator since 2005 to help every type of family structure their new parenting and financial lives through mediation. I have substantial experience in complex financial matters as well as complicated parenting issues, and spent four years as a deputy district attorney. I am currently only accepting new mediation clients when the parties are represented by counsel.
I was trained as a family law mediator through the Center for Dispute Resolution in 2003 and was licensed as a Professional Mediator by the Colorado Council of Mediators in 2005. I served as president of the Boulder Interdisciplinary Committee, which is a group of mental health professionals and lawyers working together to reduce conflict when family relationships change. I worked on the Colorado Bar Association Family Law Executive Council and was chair of the Boulder County Bar Association Professional Committee, the Family Law Section and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section.
I have exclusively devoted my practice to mediation since 2005, and have mediated over 1,600 cases.

Mediation should meet the practical and emotional needs of the parties to maximize their ability to shape their own futures. I recognize that mediation can become expensive as well as emotionally difficult, so I encourage the parties to complete as much preparatory work as possible outside of my office and commence the settlement process prior to mediation.
My hourly rate is $280.
