Description of Practice
Since 2000, I have been providing quality and personalized Massachusetts divorce mediation services to families in my Norwell and Braintree locations. I strive to help clients minimize the financial and psychological impacts of separation and divorce. I organize the divorce mediation process to minimize your stress and the feeling of helplessness that often accompanies the daunting separation and divorce process. We will address child support, co-parenting plans, alimony and medical/dental insurance, taxes, and your house (among other issues). My goals are to empower each couple to make their own decisions and to own their personalized divorce agreement.
Solo Practitioner/Mediator (2000 - present). Member of Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation (2012 - present). Completed civil mediation training, Mediation Works Inc. Former litigation associate for the Boston domestic relations law firm of Stone, Stone & Creem. Former legal consultant for the Massachusetts Department of Social Services. Admitted to the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (1995). Recipient of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyer's Award for Achievements in Family Law (Pennsylvania Chapter). Guest Presenter: Boston College Law School family law class, The Divorce Center and South Shore Coalition of Independent Therapists.
Villanova University School of Law - J.D. Connecticut College - B.A. in Child Development and graduated with honors.
Testimonial: "Initially, I was very apprehensive about using a mediator for my divorce. However, after meeting with Judy for an hour or so and getting comfortable with her, I agreed to go forward. Throughout the process, Judy was able to listen to our concerns, answer my questions and get us to think about long term consequences of what we were doing. Most importantly, she genuinely cared about us and our sons. She did not take sides, but listened to us and our concerns. She helped us come to grips with the realities we were facing and she guided us through the most difficult process of my life. I would encourage anyone contemplating a divorce to speak with her first before proceeding."
