Description of Practice

I offer mediation for the different ages and stages of the Family: assisting parents in mediating parenting plans, mediating the financial division of assets debts and support, parent teen mediation, grandparent and other third party visitation. I mediate post adoption communication agreements (open adoption) and guardianship for state agencies, tribal governments and private adoption; and I offer elder mediation for seniors and their families facing life and end of life transition decisions. I also provide facilitation and mediation training.

I use an interest-based approach, utilizing joint (face-to-face) mediation and caucus as appropriate. I believe that the parties to the conflict should have ownership over the conflict and ownership of the resolution. The mediation process can help give the participants a voice in their decisions.
