I have been helping parties resolve disputes for more than 20 years. Much of my mediation work is related to business-to-business disputes or employment law. These cases have ranged from hundreds of dollars at issue to millions of dollars. Most of my cases involve claims in litigation or headed toward litigation.

More than 500 cases as an arbitrator, serving as sole arbitrator, panel chair and panel member. Wide experience in mediation, in cases ranging from simple breach of contract matters, complex Fair Labor Standards Act cases, complex multi-party construction, and complex commercial litigation.
I handle cases in the typical face-to-face mediation format, but also remotely using videoconferencing and other remote communication tools.
As a mediator, my job is to coach the parties and their counsel along the road of solving their own problem. I respect the role of counsel, and respect the right of parties to make their own decision. I work hard to gain the trust of the decision makers and to help them thoughtfully evaluate the practical realities of the their situation.
I always keep firmly in mind that the parties are in the drivers seat, with the power to make their own decisions. But, I also bear in mind that my role is to help the parties explore all the relevant issues, especially the issues they want to gloss over.
