In 1984 Mona began her career in law. She worked through law school as a Law Clerk with some very prestigious law firms in Los Angeles and then spent the next twenty years as a civil litigation attorney. She opened her own firm in Orange County in 1999, building her practice to support four attorneys and eight support staff within a six year period of time.
Big change was again underway when she relocated to picturesque Granville, Ohio. Mona hung her shingle, the “Law Offices of Mona J. Fine,” first in Granville, then relocated to Newark for more office space. Clients find a peaceful, supportive retreat to seek strong, yet compassionate counsel. In recent years, Mona has changed her priorities to now encompass Mediation services to better serve the community in a less expensive, more accommodating manner, that leaves the clients in control of the outcome.
Born on Long Island, N.Y., Mona moved to Southern California following graduation from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. There she earned two Master’s Degrees, in Special Education and Educational Administration, before attending Pepperdine University, School of Law, receiving her Juris Doctor degree in 1987.
Mona taught learning disabled students, became Assistant Principal at an alternative public high school, acted as a Special Education Administrator and served as an Educational Consultant for Charter schools. As Professor Fine, she was Director of the Academic Success Program at Western State University, School of Law. As a result of her efforts, several of her students graduated top of their class.
