Kira Schlesinger is an attorney and a Kansas Supreme Court approved mediator. She has been involved with litigation since since 1989, starting as a paralegal. In 1994, Kira went to the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, for her undergraduate honors degree in cultural anthropology. In 1999, Kira graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law. That same year she became an attorney in California. Kira gained large law office experience with firms such as Barger & Wolen, LP in Newport Beach, California.
Kira moved to Arizona in 2003. There, she began to focus solely on business litigation at the nationwide firm of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP in Phoenix. She was a senior attorney handling insurance coverage and bad faith issues. Frequently, these disputes arose out of partnership claims, business disputes, and fraud claims.
Schlesinger Conrad, pllc primarily handled business disputes, including issues regarding partnerships, acquisitions, adversary actions, securities cases/Blue Sky, trademark infringement, fraud and breach of contract in a wide range of business litigation settings.
Throughout her legal career, mediation was so prevalent and so effective in resolving disputes, that in 2022 Kira decided to focus her practice solely on mediation. That decision was based on the amount of clients’ money and time that is saved by utilizing mediation. Saving money from the beginning means there is more available to settle a case. Positioning a case for mediation is cheaper and faster than the resources needed to move a case through litigation. Additionally, no judgment is reflected against defendants in the public record that can come back to haunt them.
After moving to the Kansas City area, Kira pursued mediation training and is in the process of becoming a Kansas Supreme Court Approved Mediator. If you decide that mediation makes sense for your case, Kira will bring this wealth of experience to your matter to assist with settlement.
