Judith Kaplan

I am a family law attorney and trained divorce mediator. Since 2000, I have been providing quality and personalized Massachusetts divorce mediation services to families on the South Shore. I offer appointments via Zoom and in NORWELL, BRAINTREE and QUINCY. You decide the location. I strive to help clients minimize the financial and psychological impacts of separation and divorce. I organize the divorce mediation process to minimize your stress and the feeling of helplessness that often accompanies the daunting separation and divorce process. We will address child support, co-parenting plans, alimony and medical/dental insurance, taxes, and your house (among other issues). My goals are to empower each couple to make their own decisions and to own their personalized divorce agreement.

Approach

Testimonial: “Initially, I was very apprehensive about using a mediator for my divorce. However, after meeting with Judy for an hour or so and getting comfortable with her, I agreed to go forward. Throughout the process, Judy was able to listen to our concerns, answer my questions and get us to think about long term consequences of what we were doing. Most importantly, she genuinely cared about us and our sons. She did not take sides, but listened to us and our concerns. She helped us come to grips with the realities we were facing and she guided us through the most difficult process of my life. I would encourage anyone contemplating a divorce to speak with her first before proceeding.”
