For more than 32 years, I have practiced divorce and family law and have been mediating divorce and family law matters for over 25 years. Early in my career, I recognized that the judicial system is an inadequate forum for resolution of most divorce and family law disputes; these are personal, rather than legal disputes. The court system fosters hatred, anger, animosity, lack of communication, and a lack of trust between divorcing couples and those involved in other family law disputes, it destroys families. I prefer to help families evolve through mediation.
I now devote 100% of my practice to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) including but not limited to mediation, arbitration, and Collaborative Divorce. In addition to my private and court appointed mediation practice, I have been appointed by colleagues and judges to serve as a Parenting Coordinator, Guardian ad Litem, Binding Arbitrator, and Blue Ribbon Panelist.
I have mediated over 1500 cases involving all different types of family law issues including but not limited to divorce, pre-divorce (pendente lite) issues, post-divorce disputes, custody and parenting time, college expenses, modification of alimony or child support, termination of alimony, emancipation, grandparent visitation, and more. I have been appointed as a Post MESP Mandatory Economic Mediator in hundreds of divorce cases by the court and attorneys.
Bruce has been practicing divorce and family law for over thirty years primarily in Camden, Gloucester and Burlington Counties.
He is currently the President of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM). He served on the Family Law Executive Committee (FLEC) of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) and participates on the Family Law Committees of the Burlington, Camden and Gloucester County Bar Associations. He has spoken at continuing legal education programs on a variety of family law topics including mediation and collaborative divorce.
100% of Bruce’s practice is ADR. He has been mediating divorce, post-divorce, and other family law matters for over 25 years. He has mediated well over 1500 cases both privately and as a court appointed mediator. He is a trained Collaborative Law professional, has training and experience as a Parenting Coordinator, Guardian Ad Litem for children, Arbitrator, and serves as a Blue Ribbon Early Settlement Panelist.
I want my clients to live happy and peaceful lives post-divorce or after other family law disputes are resolved and avoid the horrors and expense of litigation. Divorce and family law disputes can impact more than just the divorcing couple, the disputing parents, or the other disputants; they impact children, grandchildren (current and future), extended family, friends, new significant others and their families, teachers, coaches, and so many more. Helping people resolve their issues in a non-adversarial, respectful, non-litigious, and civilized manner is what I strive to achieve as a mediator, arbitrator, and ADR practitioner.
