Disputes, divorce and disagreements happen. Let me help you get through it in a kinder, gentler, more affordable and effective way with win-win outcomes for all involved. As a mediator and a skills coach, I can help you navigate and negotiate your way through disputes and disagreements with dignity for a better solution and outcome than your alternatives of costly court proceedings in an efficient, effective, and respectful mediation process. I believe the quality of resolution reached in mediation, and the quality of the mediation process, is as important to the parties as the resolution itself.

I am a Kansas Supreme Court approved Mediator trained and certified at Harvard Law School. I am also a Certified Interpersonal Skills Trainer teaching communication tools. I am a retired Accountant and also have a BS in Public Management. My training at Harvard and skill set is negotiation through understanding using Mediation, Conflict Resolution and Conciliation as alternatives to resolve difficult issues out of court.

In my role as a Neutral, I have been a certified Mediator for two years in the Civil Court/Dispute setting. I trained at Harvard Law School, Program on Negotiation, Mediating Disputes. I have 20 years experience mentoring, life coaching and teaching communication skills to young adults as well families and adult couples.

Approach

My approach to Mediation is with a model of understanding and facilitative. Mediation is a voluntary process in which the parties make decisions together based on their understanding of their own views, each other’s, and the reality they face. My role as a Mediator works as a non-coercive Neutral to help parties negotiate an agreement that serves them better than their alternatives.
