Andrew Haas

I want to hear from you. Your voice and vision matter. I support my clients in having a different kind of conversation – one with opportunities to discuss what matters to them, hear one another, and find direction. We work with separating couples, parents, co-workers, and faith communities all over NY.

We offer two mediators for the price of one because we believe it enables us to best serve you. My co-mediator, Hannah, and I actively mediate on Zoom making mediation easy and accessible. Kindly find my phone number and email below. Thanks!

I first entered the field of mediation through graduate studies at Columbia University in Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding. During this time, I joined Community Mediation Services where I gained extensive experience through mediating high conflict disputes within Queens and the Bronx. To this day, I mediate cases with the center pro-bono and feel deep gratitude for the expert training I received there. I now engage with Mediators Beyond Borders, ACR-GNY, and co-facilitate mediation apprenticeships.

I come from a long background in facilitating education in international conflict zones and urban settings and formerly helped to provide technical assistance and consulting to non-profits. My practice focuses on providing well-informed support to clients from a place of empathy and understanding.

ADR Experience

Divorce/Separation, Child/Spousal Support, Parenting Arrangements, Workplace Mediation, Special Education Cases, & Civil Court Cases.

Approach

My approach focuses on facilitating a different kind of conversation – one with special opportunities for resolution. My clients have the chance to fully express what matters to them, hear one another, gain clarity and direction, and see their differences in high definition.
As a result, people often find resolution, and we can write up any agreements that are made.

We don’t pretend to know what works best for you, and will never take decisions out of your hands. Instead, we support you in creating the conversation you desire.
