Mediation is one way to resolve divorce disputes without going to court. As a neutral facilitator, I meet with the parties and help them communicate effectively and respectfully. I facilitate problem-solving and help the parties make informed decisions. In contrast to litigation where the judge makes the decisions, the parties remain in control of the outcome. By retaining control, the parties are empowered to negotiate a lasting agreement that meets their needs. And, the parties avoid the high costs and stress of a lengthy court battle.
I believe that the parties, not the judge, should decide what is in their best interest. In mediation, I help the parties resolve issues respectfully and without contention. I facilitate settlement discussions and help the parties create a lasting agreement that will work for everyone.
