Laura Bowles

Founder of The New Normal, LLC., Laura Bowles, focuses her coaching and training practice on partnering with individuals during transitional periods of their lives, helping them achieve success in personal and professional spaces - however they choose to define it.

Consistently commended by clients for her patient, creative, and encouraging approach, she fosters an environment of reflection, growth, and inspiration that moves clients forward to healthy and transformational actions.

Laura's career includes time as an elementary school teacher, a Federal grant project manager, a family coordinator in a homeless shelter, a parent educator, an employment counselor, and a supervisor of multiple teams. Through these diverse experiences, Laura found what remains consistent is her passion for connecting with individuals and supporting them through their growth. Laura believes that we each bring a distinct set of leadership skills with us when we show up at work and at home. Recognizing, cultivating, and embracing those skills is the only way to thrive and design a life of purpose.

Laura earned her degree at the College of William and Mary, trained as a Leadership Coach at George Mason University, and is credentialed as an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation, and is a Certified Mediator through the Supreme Court of Virginia. Laura has extensive experience in Parent Education and Child Development, Conflict Coaching, Mediation Skills, and Employment Counseling.

Laura lives in Fairfax, VA, with her husband and two children. She enjoys running, cooking, and reading, when she gets a few of those elusive spare minutes.
