Your Dynamic Site Control Panel has six main sections:

  • Summary
  • Location
  • Style
  • Configuration
  • Pages
  • Addons

The first section that you see is the “Summary Tab.”

The Summary Tab displays the basic name and address information that we have for you and your site’s Location and Style.

If you desire to change your name or address information, please click “Change Account Information” at which point you will be brought back to your client record. Then click “Basic Information” in your client record and you will be able to edit all of your contact information, including your password and credit card information.

Once you have changed basic information, you should re-submit any pages that display this information by clicking on the "Pages" tab, then "edit" next to the name of the page, and then the "Submit" button.

If you desire to change your site location, click on the “Location Tab.” Type in the desired URL. If the URL is not available, the Dynamic Control system will alert you and ask that you choose an alternative.

If you desire to change your site style, click on the “Style Tab.”

Note that you View your site from any page in the Dynamic Site Control Panel.

The “Configuration Tab” controls sitewide display issues, such as on which pages your name, address, phone and email address appear. This tab also controls the type of “sub-page” navigation system that you have (either text link or pop up menu).

The “Pages Tab” allows you to add, edit and delete pages and to load text and images into your site.

The “Addons Tab” allows you incorporate Mediate.com Sections and Forms into your web site.

The Location Tab displays your site’s current location and this display is also a link to your active site.

If you desire to change your site’s location, click on “Change Site Location” and you will be taken to a new page that allows you to first search for a location on Mediate.com (just enter your desired name after the displayed “http://www.mediate.com/___________." The system will search for availability and then allow you to confirm your choice.

Note that if you change your Location in the Dynamic Site System, you may need to go back to the Summary tab and “Change Your Account Information,” then “Basic Information” to change your listed web site for the Referral System.

Special Note: A service that is included with your Dynamic Web Site is our registration of your site with leading search engines. We do this once for each Dynamic site approximately two weeks after your site is ordered as part of the set monthly fee. If you change your site location and would like the new location registered with leading search engines, there will be an extra charge for this service.

Also note that Dynamic sites can be placed at your own domain. If you desire this service, please contact support@mediate.com.

Finally note that an Enterprise version of our Dynamic Site System is available for purchase, which allow you to have place multiple Dynamic Sites at the same domain.

The Style Tab displays your current style. You can see this style by clicking “View Site.”

If you desire to change your style, or just want to experiment (you can change back at any time), click “Change Style.”

You are then brought to a page that allows you to review and then select a new style to review.

Note that the selection of a new style will renovate your entire site to the new style in a matter of seconds. If you do not like your choice, you can change it back just as easily.

Also note that when you change a style, you may want to reconsider the location of photographs and other graphics. Some styles have navigation on the left; other styles have navigation on the right. Many people find that images on the opposite side of navigation help to balance a page.

Also note that custom designs are available starting at $1690.

Contact support@mediate.com with any questions.

The Configuration Tab assists you to make site-wide decisions regarding the location on your site of your Company Name, Your Name, Your Business Address, Your Email Address, Your Phone Number, and Your Fax Number.

The Configuration Tab also allows you to select the type of sub-page navigation system you desire (if you site has sub-pages). The two options available are a top of page text linking system or a rollover pop up menu system. We encourage you to experiment with the creation of sub-pages and with each of the sub-navigation display systems. Just like you site style, you can go back and forth between display options at any time.

The Pages Tab allows you to add, edit and delete pages, to manage your site images and to control your navigation button display order.

To Delete a Page, simply click “Delete” next to the proper page name. Note that, once deleted, there is no ability to retrieve a deleted page, so make your deletions carefully.

To Edit a Page, simply click “Edit” next to the proper page name.

To Add a Page, click “Add a Page.”

To change the display order of your navigation buttons on your site, click “Change Sort Order.”

Once you access a page for editing or when you are adding a page, you are asked to decide whether a pages is a “Top Level Page” (in which case a navigation button will be created) or a “Subpage” and, if a subpage, you are asked to identify the “Parent” page.

You can have a “child” (subpage) to a “parent” (top level page) or a “child” page of another “child page” (and so on). Remember, you have up to 144 pages to utilize! To ensure that you have a professional looking site, we limit your top-level personal pages to twelve (12) total. A subpage must have a parent page if it is to be included in your site navigation system.

The “Meta Tag” section of a page is the information that Internet directories and search engines look at when searching your site. It is worth taking the time to ensure that this information is accurate and complete.

If your page has already been created, you will notice your ability to upload a photo or other graphic. If you are adding a page, this ability to add a photo or graphic will not appear until you first submit the page and then go back in to add your image.

When uploading a photo, a new browser will be opened and you should first “browse” and then upload a .jpg or .gif file only. If you make a mistake, you can “Delete Image” or simply upload a new replacement image.

Also note your ability to control the position of any image by first indicating the topic by which an image will appear and secondly indicating the image alignment.

Next you want to add your content. You can either type your text in to a “Descriptive Text Box” or paste text in from any text document. Also note that you can either put all of your content into the first Descriptive Text box or you can break your content into sections, in which case we recommend that you name each section with a Topic Name. Again, we encourage you to experiment to get the look that you desire.

All of your Descriptive Text fields in your site are fully HTML capable. That means that, if desired, you can further control the display of your site.

For example, here is some basic HTML code that may assist you to get the site look that you desire (not in any way required):

text will make text bold
text will make text underline
text will make text italic

To add a link to any page on the web, here is the form:

For a single line break, the code is

Needless to say, there are many simply html guides on the web if you are so inclined. You can search on “Basic HTML Code” at Google.com and you will do very well for yourself.

Once you have made your edits to a page, or now finished creating a page, go ahead and “Submit Changes.” We actually encourage you to regularly submit your changes to reduce your risk of losing any unsaved information.

As between having a number of short pages or a few pages with a number of Sections, we encourage the first. Visitors generally prefer to click and be taken directly to well labeled information rather than having to scroll.

The Addons Tab allows you to incorporate the following Forms into your site:

  • Areas of Practice (taken from your Mediate.com Referral Listing)
  • For Assistance (case intake form)
  • Information Request (guestbook form)
  • Mediate.com Topic & Text Search (a footer option for your site)
The Addons Tab also allows you to incorporate more than a dozen Mediate.com Sections from the Mediate.com Library. This feature allows you to bring regularly updated information that is relevant to your practice, clients or organization directly into your web site, and in the same look and feel as your web site.

Needless to say, Addon options can be changed at any time or not selected at all.
