About Tom OwensTom Owens

Tom was born in Washington, North Carolina, in 1939, and attended secondary school in that small, rural area of the country.  After graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy with an engineering degree, navigator’s wings and an officer’s commission, Tom embarked on tours of duty with the U.S. Air Force.  Tom interrupted his Air Force duties to spend three years at Duke Law School earning a Juris Doctor degree.  After serving as a Deputy Staff Judge Advocate, litigation attorney and military judge, Tom left the Air Force in Anchorage, Alaska, where he founded and led a very successful law firm.  While practicing law and leading his law firm to prominence, Tom also gained a Certification as a Practitioner of Neuro-linguistic Programming, a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Certification as a Personal Development Coach. Tom has also earned a Masters Degree (LLM) in Dispute Resolution and a Doctorate in psychology (PsyD).  In 2004, Tom established a portfolio practice as a mediator/arbitrator/negotiator, consultant and coach.

Tom and his wife Tennys have two sons, both of whom are married and live in Anchorage.  They have been blessed with two grandchildren.
