*First Things First: Qualified immunity:

Qualified immunity shields police officers who are performing their duties from damages for civil liability as long as they do not violate individual’s rights that have been determined to be “clearly established,” whether statutory, constitutional and case law, for example, the Bill of Rights, such as freedom of speech, religion and legal protection against excessive use of force, particularly deadly force, see Tennessee v. Garner (1985) 471 U.S. 1

Once Qualified Immunity is not an Issue, the following areas are suitable for mediation:

  • Police Brutality
  • False Arrest
  • False Imprisonment
  • Falsification of Evidence
  • Illegal Surveillance
  • Unwarranted Searches
  • Unwarranted Seizures
  • Coerced Confession
  • False Confession
  • Racial Profiling
  • Suborning Perjury
