RULE 114
Rule 114 is a Minnesota supreme court rule that requires parties in most civil actions to attempt some form of alternative dispute resolution before proceeding to trial.
The parties have ten choices of ADR processes, including "the wild card," which is essentially "Designer ADR," a process that the parties or their attorneys design which will most assist them to settle the case.
The supreme court of Minnesota has five different sub-rosters of qualified neutrals (Civil - facilitative; civil - adjudicative; civil - evaluative; family - facilitative; family - adjudicative and evaluative).
