ALTERNATE DISPUTE RESOLUTION ("ADR")

~ Mediation: A process where the Neutral helps the parties reach their own agreement but has no authority to make a decision.

~ Arbitration: A process in which the Neutral renders a decision is then binding.

~ Non-Binding Advisory Opinions: The Neutral renders an opinion about what is likely to occur if the parties proceed to trial (the opinion can be oral or in writing, and is not binding).

~ ADR Consulting:  I provide counsel on the kind of ADR process(es) which is or are most likely to bring about a settlement.

~ Parenting Time Expediter (Med-Arb): In this process, the Neutral helps parents who have disputes about parenting matters by first attempting to mediate a settlement; but if mediation cannot get past impasse, then the Neutral arbitrates (makes  a decision), which is binding unless a court overturns or modifies the decision after a hearing.
