ophelia’s place, www.opheliasplace.net, is a supportive center for girls ages 10-18. It is our goal to empower young women to make healthy, informed decisions about their many important life choices. We offer support groups, a supportive environment for girls, a great library, resource and referral information, and a listening ear for any concerns or questions girls may have. We are located at the corner of 16th and Pearl in downtown Eugene. We are open Monday through Friday from 12 noon – 6 PM. The 3rd Annual Girls Rule! Parent-Daughter Fair happens March 13th from 9:00 – 3:30 at Lane Community College. This year’s theme is Real Girl Heroes. Don’t miss this great opportunity to laugh, play and learn together. If you are part of a service group, book club, church organization, scout troop, or any other group that would like to do a project in the park, let us know. We’ll set up a date and time that work for you. We’ll meet at the Alton Baker Park Host Residence, then head out into the park for some caretaking work. You wear work clothes, we’ll provide snacks and tools. All ages are welcome, with accompanying adults. Then they should participate in our 2010 summer daycamps! Kids 3 to 11 years old are invited to enroll in camps that feature small classes, experienced educators, half and full day options, local parks, and everything from bugs to bikes.
