Rebecca Hopkins Miller
PROFESSIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Rebecca Hopkins Miller was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. In 1986, Rebecca Miller graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law. Ms. Miller was a recipient of both the American Juris Prudence Award in Family Law and the Los Angeles County Bar Family Law Scholarship. For the past 6 years, Ms. Miller has practiced Collaborative Divorce Law and Mediator as a result of extensive training seminars, which she attended in 2005.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Ms. Miller has been involved in the practice of Family Law in Las Vegas, NV since 1986. At the time Ms. Miller passed the Nevada State Bar, she was employed as a judicial law clerk for the now-retired Michael J. Wendell, Judge of District Court, Clark County, Nevada. Rebecca Miller has served as an Executive Board Member of the Bench-Bar Commitee of the District Court, State of Nevada, Family Court Division. Rebecca was also a committee member of the Disciplinary Panel of the State Bar of Nevada for 9 years and is currently a member of the Las Vegas Social Register. She was also a member of the Executive Council of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Nevadafor 8 years.
Rebecca Miller is a partner with the Schofield Miller Law Firm. She accepts cases in the areas of Family Law, the defense of attorneys required to appear before the Disciplinary Board of the State Bar of Nevada and is also an Arbitrator for Clark County District Court in the area of negligence cases. Ms. Miller is currently active as an arbitrator and mediator primarily in the area of Family Law, as well as being trained as a Collaborative Divorce Law practitioner, of which there are only approximately 25 such trained attorneys in the state of Nevada.
