PROFESSIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Rebecca Hopkins Miller was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. In 1986, Rebecca Miller graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law. Ms. Miller was a recipient of both the American Juris Prudence Award in Family Law and the Los Angeles County Bar Family Law Scholarship.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Ms. Miller has been involved in Family Law since beginning her practice in Las Vegas, Nevada upon obtaining her licensure in the State of Nevada in 1986. At the time Ms. Miller passed the Nevada State Bar, she was employed as a judicial law clerk for the now-retired Michael J. Wendell, Judge of District Court, Clark County, Nevada. Rebecca Miller has served as an Executive Board Member of the Bench-Bar Commitee of the District Court, State of Nevada, Family Court Division. Rebecca was a committee member of the Disciplinary Panel of the State Bar of Nevada for 9 years. She was also a member of the Executive Council of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Nevadafor 8 years. Rebecca Miller is a partner with the Schofield Miller Law Firm. She accepts cases in defense of attorneys required to appear before the Disciplinary Board of the State Bar of Nevada and is also an Arbitrator for Clark County District Court in the area of negligence cases. Mrs. Miller is currently active as an arbitrator and primarily mediator in the area of Family Law and is trained as a Collaborative Divorce Law practioner, of which there are only approximately 25 such trained attorneys in the state of Nevada.
