          By way of introduction, as an attorney, I have a wide range of legal experience obtained while working in private practice, governmental agencies, and in various public interest organizations.  I began my legal career in civil litigation (namely, medical malpractice/negligence and insurance defense work). 

      While attending Loyola Law School, I interned for the DEPARTMENT OF FAIR EMPLOYMENT & HOUSING, where I conducted legal research on issues involving employment discrimination and drafted Legal Opinions regarding the applicability of the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) and the Federal Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).  I also did an internship at the law school's CANCER LEGAL RESOURCE CENTER, where I provided legal resources/information to patients with cancer, informing them of their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other related laws which prohibit discrimination against persons with disabilities.

      Finally, I interned at the OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, Health Quality Enforcement Section, where I drafted pleadings including Accusations, Petitions and Motions to be presented at Administrative Hearings against healthcare providers accused of wrongdoings against their patients.

     I have over a decade of legal experience, both in litigation/advocacy and transactional law (with emphasis in estate planning, uncontested divorces, business formation, and business and real estate contracts).  I am confident that my career interest, educational background, and diverse work experience, will be an asset in your legal representation.  Listening and understanding your concerns and legal issues will be my primary priorities.  My goal will be to handle your case/matter effectively and efficiently, thereby minimizing time, court costs, and legal fees.
