Conflict Management Institute will design a training to meet the needs of your company or organization. We specialize in customized trainings and systems design to create efficient and effective conflict management skills.
We also provide ongoing training opportunities for individuals who would like to learn how to resolve conflict (see schedule of upcoming public trainings below). People attend our trainings for all kinds of reasons -- both personal as well as professional.
In our Level 1 Beginning Mediation Training, you’ll DISCOVER your conflict resolution style, how to listen for interests, the importance of “reframing”, stages of mediation, models of mediation, how to create a neutral, safe environment for parties, how to bridge parties … finding common ground, how to act neutral when you don’t feel neutral, the “bargaining process”, how to reach closure and write agreements. Whether you want to resolve conflict in your own life or in the lives of others, you will find this training extremely useful.
In our Level II Intermediate Mediation Training, EXPLORE 10 mistakes mediators make, techniques of transformative mediation, how to get to understanding and settlement, working with intense emotions, dealing with difficult participants, reaching forgiveness, increasing your intuitive and reflective capacities as a mediator, getting parties to the table, and valuable tips for marketing your mediation practice. This training will help you move your practice to the next level.
In our Level III Advanced Mediation Training, FIND OUT advanced techniques of transformative practice, how to increase your intuitive capacities as a mediator, the importance of bringing body and soul into your practice, how to be evaluative in a transformative way, economic and risk analysis of cases, and advanced “bargaining techniques” for mediators. Designed to challenge trained mediators, this workshop is intended for already trained mediators who want to continue to improve their effectiveness in two main skill sets that are essential for advanced level mediators: how to get parties to communicate in highly charged conflicts and negotiation or bargaining skills.
Truly transformative mediation does more than simply solve a problem and reach a settlement between people. It moves people through their emotions to a place beyond problem-solving … to improved communication, greater understanding (of oneself and of the other person(s)), and ultimately to forgiveness.
