Video Workshop for Intermediate and Advanced Mediators
Hone your skills and receive a free videotape of your role-play, complete with feedback and coaching from seasoned mediation trainers and professionals. This full-day course is comprised of intermediate and advanced level role-plays designed to challenge trained mediators. Each is followed by extensive coaching and feedback to enhance effectiveness. This workshop is intended for already trained mediators who want to continue to improve their effectiveness in two main skill sets that are essential for advanced level mediators: how to get parties to communicate in highly charged conflicts and negotiation or bargaining skills. Part of the training is devoted to advanced negotiation and settlement strategies, including economic and risk analysis. The major aspect of the training is seeing and hearing how you are perceived by disputants with the aid of video feedback. We will use role plays to explore challenging areas of practice, such as:
- Advanced techniques of transformative practice
- How to increase your intuitive capacities as a mediator
- Bringing body and soul into your practice
- How to be evaluative in a transformative way
- Economic and risk analysis of cases
- Advanced Bargaining Techniques for Mediators
