About Jim Melamed
Jim Melamed began offering divorce mediation services in 1983. Jim was Executive Director of the national Academy of Family Mediators from 1987 to 1993. Jim has been offering divorce mediation training since 1993. Jim co-founded Mediate.com in 1996 and continues as CEO of Mediate.com. Jim currently teaches Mediation at the University of Oregon School of Law and the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine School of Law. Jim is a member of the Oregon State Bar, past-Chair of the Oregon Dispute Resolution Commission and was founding President and Executive Director of the Oregon Mediation Association. Jim received his bachelor's degree in psychology, with honors, from Stanford University and his law degree from the University of Oregon.
