Dan Berstein

Dan Berstein is a mediator and trainer known for his work in mental health communication, accessibility, and challenging behaviors.  Through his company, MH Mediate, Dan has trained mediators in over a dozen states and practitioners at a wide variety of organizations and government agencies. 

Dan holds a master’s degree in Mental Health and certificate in Health Communication from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health as well as a bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School.  He sat on the Mediator Advisory Board of the New York Peace Institute and is Vice Chair of the Diversity Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution.  In collaboration with the CUNY Dispute Resolution Center, Dan hosted New York City's first National Dialogue on Mental Health event and is developing more resources focused on conflict resolution and mental health.
