Claudia Maffettone

Claudia Maffettone is a conflict resolution practitioner and a certified mediator. She trained the New York Peace Institute, Harvard Law School, the New York City Bar, Soliya and the International Institute for Restorative Practices. As a mediator for the New York Peace Institute, she has conducted numerous community, commercial, divorce, custody/visitation, criminal and juvenile delinquency mediations.

For almost five years, Claudia has worked at Soliya, a pioneering NGO in the field of virtual exchange and intercultural dialogue, as the Outreach and Recruitment Officer, advancing partnerships with educational institutions, NGOs and CSOs in the Middle East- North Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. Previously, she worked with numerous organizations in the UN System, the European Union, and the Council of Europe. In 2010, she launched a consulting company, LuX, to support various institutions in project planning and implementation.
 
Claudia holds a BA in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Universita’ degli Studi di Napoli ‘L’Orientale’, in Italy, and a MA Conflict Resolution from the University of Bradford, UK, and is a Rotary Peace Fellowship alumna.
