Mediation Services
Mediations arranged through this office are typically either half-day sessions (four hours) or full-day sessions (eight hours). If the matter involves a complex divorce without attorneys, Ms. Grimes may suggest a series of two-hour sessions rather than one extended session. Morning mediations are scheduled from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Afternoon mediations are scheduled from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Full-day mediations are scheduled from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Mediation Fees
Half-day session—$400 per participant or party
Full-day session—$700 per participant or party
Two-hour session—$225 per participant or party
Additional cost per hour if extension of a mediation session is agreed upon by all participants—$100 per participant or party.
Please call or email regarding rates for mediations exceeding three parties, as rates may be negotiable depending upon the nature and complexity of the matter involved.
When mediation is scheduled, a $75 nonrefundable fee is due from each participant or party upon receipt of invoice. This fee applies toward the total mediation fee. The balance of the total fee is due one week prior to the date of mediation. If mediation is cancelled or rescheduled four or fewer business days prior to the mediation date, a $200 late cancellation fee will be due from the party or parties canceling or rescheduling the mediation. If mediation is cancelled on the actual mediation date, the full mediation fee is due from both parties.
Note: A “party” could include more than one person if participants share the same attorney.
