Description of Practice

I am a Licensed Attorney with 30+ years of experience. I am AV-Rated and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. I have mediated over 250 Mediations (Personal Injury & Workers’ Compensation). Oral Arguments have been presented in First & Fifth Districts; and the Florida Supreme Court. I have substantial Jury Trial Experience as well as over 1000 Administrative Hearings. I have experience with Federal Court Appellate Work (Middle District of Florida) and I have also testified as an Expert in PIP, Workers’ Compensation & Social Security Disability cases.

Professional Background

Attended University of South Florida from 1978-1982 and received my B.A. in Criminal Justice. Attended Oklahoma City University Law School from 1982-1985 and received my J.D. Have practiced law from 1985 to the present with an emphasis on Personal Injury; Workers' Compensation and Social Security Disability. I have been AV-Rated since 1996. My practice is currently limited to Auto Accident Litigation and Circuit Civil Mediation.

Experience

I have been a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil Circuit Court Mediator since March 2007. My Mediation practice is limited to Personal Injury matters and Workers' Compensation disputes.

Degrees

B.A. in Criminal Justice. J.D. obtained in 1985.

Approach

I think of myself as a "facilitator" first and foremost but have my best results in mediation when I challenge the participants with difficult questions about their case. This "Devil's Advocate" approach works well for me and gets cases settled. I pride myself in being something other than just a "mouthpiece" delivering money offers and demands back and forth between the parties.

Fees

I charge $325/hr in non-complex disputes but reserve the right to charge more in cases involving three or more parties. There is no late fee for a late cancellation if the Mediation is scheduled to occur in my office. There is no "travel charge" as long as the Mediation is being conducted in "Brevard County ".
