Professional Background

Richard Tow is currently a partner with the conflict management consulting firm, Hollingsworth, Tow & Associates, LLC. His corporate experience includes management at Bell Helicopter Textron and serving as a member of the contract negotiation team. He worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) in Dallas, Texas and became a Certified Public Accountant early in his career. Dr. Tow has unique qualifications for church-related conflict since he was a pastor for twenty-five years and served as Divisional Superintendent for an evangelical denomination. He conducts conflict training seminars and workshops for business administrators, attorneys, pastors, and other leaders. He also teaches conflict management at Missouri State University.


Dr. Richard Tow has mediated hundreds of cases in a variety of contexts. He conducts divorce mediations involving parenting plans, child custody and support, and all other financial issues. During his eight years of corporate work he mediated work related disputes and supported labor-management negotiations. As a pastor he helped members resolve family disagreements and business-related conflicts. During his years as a Divisional Superintendent overseeing churches he mediated congregational conflicts. Richard and his partners provide consultation and training for organizations, including conflict management systems design. They also coach new mediators who are pursuing the profession. Richard is an approved provider of dispute resolution services on the Missouri Bar Neutrals list and a member of the Association of Missouri Mediators.


Richard has a B.B.A. from The University of Texas with highest honors, an M.A. from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary with highest honors, and a Certificate in Conflict and Dispute Resolution from the graduate school of Missouri State University. His Doctor of Ministry degree is from The King’s University in Los Angeles. The subject of his dissertation was interest-satisfaction conflict management.

Richard Tow's basic mediation fee is $ 175.00 per hour. Fees for seminars, consultations, and other services are negotiated on a case by case basis.

The partners’ diverse backgrounds provide complementary skills and perspectives for serving their clients. Kent Hollingsworth is a Presbyterian minister and a state certified counselor for alcohol and drug dependency. He has studied under Dr. Peter Steinke, the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center and the New York Alban Institute. Bryan Sanders is an attorney and professor at Evangel University. He holds a J.D. from O.W. Coburn School of Law at Oral Roberts University and speaks on Alternative Dispute Resolution, Negotiation, and related coursework across the country. Richard has joined his expertise with these partners in order to provide the best possible service to his clients.
