Description of Practice

I am a mediator, trainer and consultant who has the skills, understanding and optimism to help people and organizations in conflict work things out. I have a wide-ranging client list including government agencies, small businesses, non-profit organizations, corporations, labor unions and individuals. My workplace mediation practice includes interpersonal issues, discrimination cases, discipline and discharge, and grievance mediation. I also work with small business partners to address their conflicts and enhance their relationships in order to work together productively. I am the project coordinator of the ADA Mediation Guidelines and am a widely published, nationally known expert in Americans with Disabilities Act mediation. I have many years experience helping employers and employees design reasonable accommodations. I also help businesses reach agreements with customers who have disability accommodation issues.

Professional Background

I established my mediation and training firm, Access Resources, in 1992. In 2001, I went on to work at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). As an ADR [Alternative Dispute Resolution] Program Manager there, I designed and implemented the internal workplace mediation program. Next, as an Organizational Development Program Manager at the FAA, I collaborated with field office managers and staff to address work environment and organizational challenges. Now I am devoting all my time to my practice helping people find new ways to work together and develop the skills they need to move forward.

Experience

I have mediated hundreds of case, in federal district court, civil and small claims court, and for many government agencies, private employers and businesses, and for individuals.

Approach

I work with the parties to address the issues that concern them and reach decisions that will help them and their organizations.
