Description of Practice

Provide mediation services for families (divorce, custody, elder mediation)and family owned businesses and provide mediation services for businesses, educational institutions, government, and non profits. Offer facilitation, consultation, team development, conflict coaching, needs assessments/audits, and conflict resolution program design and implementation.

Professional Background

I practiced law in the public and private sectors, mediated for county and federal agencies, unions, corporations, the Federal Government as well as for couples and families.

Experience

I have been mediating for over 19 years in my private practice, for government agencies, community organizations, educational institutions and businesses. I have logged thousands of hours doing divorce and workplace mediations. I have worked in local and state government settings, corporations, unions, and private enterprises.

Approach

My focus is on helping clients have a positive experience commmunicating with each other. I try to establish a "climate" in the room so people feel comfortable expressing themselves and are more open to listening. I use certain techniques in mediation process to help clients develop more clarity about the issues, share ideas, develop options, and ultimately make decisions that will help them resolve their conflict.

Fees

For mediation services I charge an hourly rate that is paid at the end of each session. I do not charge any retainer fees for mediation services.For training and consultation services I charge a day rate.
