It started as an idea and is now reality. A series dedicated to avoiding,preventing,resolving conflict peacefully.Airing in Hawaii is starting in November with a new segment being shown each month for up to 12 segments.The first three segments are: Voluntary mediation in a "Teen Conflict". Mandatory Mediation in Small Claims Court, Facilitation of a community issue. Each segment starts with a vignette, a story, where our volunteer actors present people in conflict utilizing processes like mediation or facilitation to peacefully resolve their issues. Afterwards a panel of distinguished practitioners discuss the vignette in the context of the people and the process. Our objecttive is to educate, promote, and demonstrate the use of peaceful processes in conflict situations. Let me tell you about our volunteers. They all have day jobs yet are finding the time to participate in this volunteer endeavor. In Hawaii we are fortunate enough to have Community television in Olelo who provide the facilities, equipment and technical support to make our series possible.
