GREG KINCAID

Mr. Kincaid's practice emphasis is Divorce and Family Law Mediation.  He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and as such,  is recognized as one of the country’s finest divorce lawyers.  He has been recognized by his peers as a Kansas “Super Lawyer” in the area of Family law.  He is certified by the State of Kansas as a Domestic Mediator and has completed an internship with Johnson County Domestic Court Services.  He is a member of the Family Law Bench Bar Committee of the Johnson County Bar Association where he assisted in drafting the current Family Law Guidelines and is a member of the Ethics Committee.  He is a former Barrister in the Earl O’Conner Inns of Court and a member of the Kansas Bar Association.  As a trained mediator, Mr. Kincaid has helped hundreds of families to avoid the traditional adversarial approach to separation, divorce and other family issues.  Mr. Kincaid has been trained in Collaborative Law and is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.  He is also attended classes and is prepared to assist in Limited Representation cases.

Mr. Kincaid helped to start the Changing Lives through Literature Program and served as the Chairman of the Optimist Oratory Contest for  seven years.  Mr. Kincaid lives on a farm in western Johnson County that has been in his family for five generations.  Creative writing and running are his chief hobbies.   He has completed several marathons and has written two novels, Death Walk at Acoma, published in 1991 (Sunstone) and A Dog NamedChristmas, 2008 (RandomHouse).  A new novel is in the works with Random House and should be released in the Fall of 2010.  The Hallmark Hall of Fame has optioned the film rights to both of the Random House novels.  A Dog Named Christmas will air on CBS this Fall.   He has also published several short stories in Capper's magazine.  He can be reached at 913 782 2350 or by email at gkincaid@nhrk.com.
