Do you like conflict?

I doubt it. But conflict is an inevitable reality of  life.

Does that mean it has to be an awful gut-wrenching negative experience that destroys relationships and suppresses creativity?

Definitely Not!

Ideally, you have the ability to deal with your own conflict. You know how to resolve the conflict that surfaces and how to keep the harmful effects of conflict to a minimum. Most importantly, your organization nurtures a supportive conflict management culture.

But, if you lack the ability or your organization has room for improvement, and you want to take responsibility for your part, I may be able to help.

I have a proven track record helping individuals and organizations deal with conflict productively.

  • If you want to improve your ability to handle conflict yourself, personalized coaching or one of my training workshops will help reduce destructive habits, while developing new, reliable responses to conflict.

  • If you have a specific conflict that you want to resolve, mediation by someone who won’t take sides, and who is skilled in moving parties beyond impasse, may give you the peace of mind that you tried everything possible to find common ground.

  • If you are responsible for the management of conflict in your organization, and are tired of running around putting out fires (over and over again), reviewing the big picture (your whole conflict management system) and looking for ideal leverage points can lead to lasting and sustainable change.

  • If your conflict is best served by a final and binding decision, and you need an expert who has made tough decisions in the labor and employment field for over 15 years, I can help as an arbitrator.

  • If your functional group or team is not performing, and ideas are rejected because of personality rather than merit/creativity then a team check-up can help clear away emotional baggage, clarify how decisions are made, specify roles and get things back on track.

  • If you have an important meeting or session that is going to be contentious and you want to make sure that unproductive conflict doesn’t get in the way of the agenda, meeting facilitation will help.
