My professional life has always focused on some form of dispute resolution-first as an attorney in Southern Africa, and most recently, in the USA, as a conflict management consultant.

I have studied and as director of the Certificate Program in Organizational Conflict Management at JFK University, now teach productive approaches to conflict management.

Currently, I am the President of the Association For Dispute Resolution of Northern California.

Since 1999 I have promoted the field of mediation and conflict management, both to practitioners and the public, as managing editor of Mediate.Com.
